Once tossed aside as beach trash, Seaham seaglass has now become a highly sought-after collectible. The story behind this transformation is nothing short of fascinating. Seaham, a small town located on the northeast coast of England, was once home to a booming glass industry in the late 19th century. However, after the closure of the local bottle and glassworks in the early 1900s, huge amounts of waste glass were dumped into the sea. Over time, the action of the waves transformed these discarded glass fragments into beautiful, smooth pebbles known as sea glass.

The unique colours and shapes found in Seaham seaglass are due to the variety of glass used in the glassworks, ranging from cobalt blue to vibrant red. Today, Seaham seaglass is highly prized by collectors around the world.

Its rarity, coupled with its historical significance, makes it a valuable and unique treasure. Many people are drawn to the idea of owning a piece of history, and the allure of Seaham seaglass continues to grow. Whether you're a seasoned collector or simply appreciate the beauty of sea-worn glass, exploring the world of Seaham seaglass is an enchanting journey into the past.
