About me~ Annemarie Kenyeres, Artisan Jeweller

 

 

Welcome to my happy place. My name is Annemarie Kenyeres, I am an artisan jeweller living in North Lincolnshire.

With a love for all things magical and an intense passion for nature , i create exclusive artisan jewellery from the most beautiful materials mother nature has to offer. 

After a 10 year career as an adventure activities instructor (climbing/surfing/coasteering) I gave birth to my son Alfie. Crippled with postnatal depression, i unexpectedly became a single parent when Alfie was 2 months old.

I had two choices, let the black dog swallow me whole or find something new to fill the endless evenings I now spent alone. I had always been a crafty type but had never really had the time to explore this side of my personality. This was  the perfect opportunity to get to know this side of me!

I bought my first reel of copper wire along with a basic tool kit and began making shapes from wire... I loved the learning process, it gave me something to focus on at a time i couldn't think of anything other that my failures. 

As i explored the world or atisan jewellery I discovered the gemstones… OMG I was In love! I quickly discovered that I had a knack for making pretty things that women loved to wear.

I finally had a plan and set out to become an artisan jeweller. 

Over the next few years as my skills as an artisan jeweller progressed, my dream turned into a full time living. I was now making and selling unique artisan jewellery through my online Etsy store.

In the beginning I specialised in wire wrapped jewellery but i have gradually built up my skills to incorporate both traditional and inspired metal working techniques into my work.

As a self taught artisan jeweller, i naturally gravitate towards working with silver and gold but copper still has a warm place in my heart.

My Etsy store is filled with made to order pieces in both silver and copper and here on my website you will find more bespoke, one of a kind pieces where i can showcase my talents as an artisan jeweller.

The gold and silver i use in my creations is 100% recycled. All purchased from a reputable source here in the UK.

I recycle my precious metal scrap from my workshop by melting it myself and milling it down into fresh sheet, ready to use again in my work. Nothing goes to waste in the workshop of an artisan jeweller.

All of my packaging is made from natural and recycled materials. Everything is sourced from small businesses here in the UK.
